CWRS

AAC Stoughton VB

AAC Stoughton VB is a high-performing CWRS wheat variety offering excellent standability – outperforming AAC Viewfield and AAC Brandon – and standing 3 cm taller than AAC Brandon. While its protein content is approximately 1% lower than AAC Brandon, it maintains very high falling numbers, indicating strong end-use quality. Maturity is similar to AAC Brandon, rated just half a day later. AAC Stoughton VB exhibits strong disease resistance: moderately resistant to FHB and common bunt, intermediate to stripe rust, and resistant to both leaf and stem rust. This variety is a promising option for growers seeking high yields, robust disease resistance, and excellent lodging tolerance.

AAC Westking

AAC Westking is an elite CWRS wheat variety developed to surpass AAC Brandon in both yield and agronomic performance. It offers up to 6% higher yield potential than AAC Brandon, with slightly lower protein content (0.3% less) and comparable maturity. Standing 2 cm shorter, AAC Westking exhibits superior standability. It boasts very high falling numbers, indicating strong resistance to pre-harvest sprouting. The variety demonstrates a robust disease resistance profile: moderately resistant to Fusarium Head Blight with low DON accumulation, resistant to bunt and leaf rust, intermediate resistance to stripe rust, and moderately resistant to stem rust.

AAC Oakman VB

AAC Oakman VB is a CWRS wheat variety that uniquely combines solid stem architecture for wheat stem sawfly resistance with Sm1 gene-mediated tolerance to orange wheat blossom midge – making it the first CWRS variety to offer dual insect resistance. AAC Oakman uses AAC Brandon as its 10% refuge. It shows improved standability and similar height compared to AAC Brandon, with slightly lower protein (0.7% less) and grain yield that is comparable to slightly lower. The variety is resistant to stripe rust, stem rust, leaf rust, and common bunt, and has intermediate resistance to fusarium head blight. As with other solid stem types, environmental conditions can influence stem solidness.
